About

Hi, I'm Luke (he/him)

I started crocheting amigurumi in 2019 to help with the stress of writing my thesis, and really enjoyed the creative outlet. I live and work in the Pacific Northwest with my partner Tristan, and my cat Rosemary.

Altumworks

is a passion project of mine to catalog my amigurumi and other yarn whimsies. It also works as a shop for pieces who don't have a home. The name comes from my Animal Crossing New Horizons island, Altum Isle.

Committed to a better world

I am grateful for the many amazing organizations doing work to ensure those with structural barriers to their success are given the opportunity to succeed. That's why $1 from each item purchased is donated to a non-profit that shares my dedication to equity.

Right now, donations are going to GiveDirectly.

"GiveDirectly is the first — and largest — nonprofit that lets donors send money directly to the world’s poorest. We believe people living in poverty deserve the dignity to choose for themselves how best to improve their lives — cash enables that choice."
